SOLO AND ENSEMBLE

Success not Stress!

Please review the following information to ensure a great experience!

ALL students should be practicing their solos and ensembles daily. All musicians MUST perform for Mr. Hedgecoth or Mr. Kuperman prior to festival.
Piano accompanists will be rehearsing with students during the next two weeks. Beginning band members will be assigned an evening time (5-6:30pm) to rehearse with the pianist at Rock Lake. Accompanists are to be paid for their time.
Level 1,2 solos- $25. Level 3,4 - $30. Level 5 - $35.
Remember the accompanist will follow YOU. Play your part, she will keep up!
Dress your best for your performance. NO JEANS or shorts!
Students will perform from a photocopy of their music. The judge is to be given an original numbered copy. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Introduce yourself to the judge. Be friendly!
When you arrive to Deltona Middle, find the warm up area, then find your judges room. The judges will probably be running behind, but arrive to your room early just in case they are ahead of schedule.
Remember the judge is there to give you feedback on your performance. Listen carefully and thank the judge. Thank your accompanist as well.
You will earn one of five ratings for your performance: Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor
Find Mr. Hedgecoth if you have any problems!
